Slide show 1- kinetic theory (the only question)

Known: pressure = 385 mmHg; 1 atm= 760 mmHg; 1 atm= 101.3 kPa
Required: pressure in kPa and atm
Solve : pressure in kPa
385 mmHg x 101.3 kPa / 760 mmHg= 51.3 kPa
Pressure in atm
385 mmHg x 1 atm / 760 mmHg=0.5066
Paraphrase: The pressure are 51.3 kPa and 0.5066 atm
Evaluate: The answer makes sense because the first and second conversation is less than 1, so the answer in
kPa and atm would be smaller than the pressure expressed in mmHg
